The love of a family is one of life’s greatest blessings and Lydia and Tyler Markham have family love and support like no other! This couple’s big day was officiated by both the bride’s father and brother. The reception music was done by another of Lydia’s older brothers, and her hair by Lydia’s Sister in law. The venue was the same venue that the grooms sister was wed at just a couple of years before! I love that this wedding came together with so much support from both sides of their families.
This sweet couple has been together since high school! It’s always a beautiful thing when you have a wedding where the couple and their family are such an obvious part of each other’s lives- and where you know that the couple has a solid support system that is working to make sure that they have the best day (and marriage!) possible.
This ceremony was held at Martins Homeplace in Elkton KY and everything from the gorgeous July day to the “something blue” details worked perfectly. One of my favorite details from this wedding was the blue tulle dresses that the TRIPLET flower girls wore, or maybe it was the custom guest sign in board that I’m sure this couple will have in their homes for years. Or wait, maybe it was the multiple first look opportunities that brought out so much emotion from both the groom, Tyler and Lydia’s father. It’s actually pretty hard for me to choose a favorite moment from this wedding now that I think about it!
One thing is for sure though, the fireworks that ended this wedding weren’t just metaphorical this time- they were real and they were stunning! One of my favorite images from all time comes from Lydia and Tylers big day- where you can see the two of them sharing a kiss at the end of a long and magical day beneath a night sky filled with sparkles, as I am sure the rest of their life is going to be.
Here are a few of the highlights from this wonderful day!
